Grace and I met at the University of Lethbridge back in the day. We had lost contact, but thanks to magic of facebook and blogs managed to reconnect a little while ago. She had been looking to get some photos done with her husband Ryan and their dogs, but since they live in the Lower Mainland that looked like it was going to be a tricky thing to arrange. When she e-mailed me to let me know that she and Ryan would be in the Fernie area we knew that we needed to find a way to connect for that portrait session! Ryan grew up in Fernie and I’m always game for heading back to Elk Valley so it seemed like a good fit! I couldn’t believe the amount of snow that was still on the ground! We managed to find a few places that were starting to melt out, but there was quite a bit more than I was expecting (these were taken pre-rediculous storm of yesterday.)
