Well, this kicks off an insane week for us – a wedding yesterday, two engagement sessions on Wednesday, a wedding Thursday and a wedding on Saturday. We’re going to try really hard to keep the blog updated over the next little while, but if we fall behind we ask for a little grace?
Yesterday was Halyne and Andrew at a camp on Sylvan Lake. It was fun to not have to worry about traveling at all once the day began – just moving about the property a bit to get some different shots. The day went really smoothly – everything came together (including the weather) just perfectly.

So this might be a slightly different take on the Big Apple eh? Halyne has a thing for green apples, and they managed to track down some giant ones for her wedding. What can I say – we like props!

Anticipation.

It was fun watching Halyne throughout the ceremony. I think it is safe to say that she wears her heart on her sleeve!

One of the things that I love about working with Duane is the freedom that it allows in the photography. In this case, we decided that Duane would get the ‘safe’ shot – you know the perfectly exposed and totally crisp shot, and I could try something else. I wanted to add some drama so decided to drag the shutter a bit to see what I could come up with. I love how this one turned out!

When we first met with them a few months ago they wanted to know if we thought if it would be a good idea to duck out of their reception for a half-hour to get some evening shots. Uh… yeah! Just so there is never any confusion on this again – we highly, highly encourage this!

Alright – check back tomorrow to see the slideshow!
