We’re doing things a little out of order here and posting Lisa & Ryan’s wedding before Jaclyn and Blain’s. Why, you might ask? I guess I’m just a little faster than Kevan at editing! Just kidding (sort of!). Keep an eye out for Jaclyn & Blain’s wedding a little later this week as well as some slideshows and an awesome engagement session we shot on Sunday with Jessica and Josh!
Saturday was Lisa & Ryan’s wedding out at Valley Ridge Golf Course here in town. They did a morning ceremony and had it right outside the clubhouse followed by an amazing buffet with every kind of food you could possibly ask for! Once their reception was over we had them and the wedding party for the rest of the day to go out and do their pictures. Perfect for us because time wasn’t an issue and they were up for just cruising around town and letting us do our thing!
Lisa and the girls got their hair done at Red Bloom in Bridgeland. When you have an 11:00am ceremony it means the girls have to start their preparations REALLY EARLY! They were up by 5:30am and getting their hair done by 7:00am!

The guys went out for breakfast and hung around for a while before getting ready. Guys really don’t understand how easy we have it!

Ryan’s a bit of a card. When he walked up the stairs to the ceremony location he stopped and told everyone he was going to pose for a picture so they should all get their cameras out.

The ceremony was full of emotion and lots of tears.

The rings. This is the last detail shot, I swear!

This is the reaction you get when you answer a question wrong to your own kissing game.

Kevan breaking a few compositional rules…it turned out OK!

Our logo hides it pretty well but Robyn, the bridesmaid on the far left, is 8 months pregnant. Lisa told her she was not allowed to have the baby until after Saturday so she obliged. Thanks Robyn for being a trooper and going around with us for a while!

We parted ways with the rest of the group and went to do some portraits with Lisa and Ryan on their own. This was their first real opportunity to let it sink in that they were married.

It’s a bit of a grungy coin-car wash in Inglewood and I didn’t notice until I was going through the pictures afterward that they sell ice cream…I think we all would have passed anyway.

While we were shooting in this alley the neighbourhood kids kept peeking around the back corner to catch a glimpse of the action. I don’t think this is something they usually see in their neighbourhood.
We stopped off at Starbucks for a quick recharge. I caught this moment between Lisa and Ryan and, holding true to our policy, whenever people stick out their tongues, up on the blog it goes!
