While Duane and his family went to check out Ft. Steele, Leah and I headed out to Canmore to try our hand at the Canmore Nordic Center biking trails. Very fun. Since my brother and I are officially registered in next year’s TransRockies race, you’ll probably be hearing a little bit more about my biking and training. I’ll be honest, I am a little bit intimidated by the race given my lack of biking experience. You know that feeling of ‘Hoo-boy, what have I gotten myself into?” Yeah, that’s me right about now. Especially after seeing some of the guys ripping around on the trails at Canmore – their are some unbelievably talented riders out there. I am definitely a little bit out of my league with all of this stuff, but plan on overcoming my many shortcomings in this area with lots of hardwork (train, train, train!) and many, many miles under my tires! I figure that I had some sort of rite-of-passage a week and a half ago when I went over my handlebars and landed squarely on my head. It’s got to get better from there right? Here’s to hoping!
A couple of visuals, but only a couple, since most of the time was spent biking!

I made Leah grab a shot of me!
