Carmen and Mike sure knew what they were doing when they ordered up fresh snow, clear skies and a perfect day at the Banff Springs Hotel! I feel like we’ve been especially blessed in the last little while with clients who are able to be completely ‘in the moment’ on one of the biggest days of their lives. These two were laughing and joking all day long and completely present with their family and friends.

I’m pretty happy that this shot turned out. I was carrying a couple of bags, a tripod and a set of boots when I saw this archway as we exited the hotel and just had her pause to quickly to grab the shot.
I was close enough to hear Mike when he saw Carmen for the first time as she came down the aisle. He only said one word…’wow!’
Yeah, this one turned out all right I guess… 
Some of the best moments always happen ‘between’ the poses.

A new twist on the kissing game. Mike is a pilot so if you wanted them to kiss you had to throw your paper airplane farther than Mike could throw his paper airplane. Given the fact that he is still alive, I am going to assume that Mike is better at flying real planes than the paper variety! Either that or he just liked kissing 
Sore losers?
I am a pretty big fan of this shot that Duane set up during the father-daughter dance! 
The Real Deal were the evening entertainers, and let me tell you, they absolutely rocked the house! People were dancing all night long, including Carmen and Mike – I love it when the couple stays out on the dance floor with their family and friends!
