Alright! Two posts in two days – that’s pretty good for me lately! We were up in Edmonton this past weekend for the PPOC photography conference this past weekend and were able to mix in an engagement session with Carling and Richard on Friday night. Beautiful soft light, a new location (they agreed to wander around Grant McEwan College with us) and a great couple. While it was fun to get out and socialize with some other photographers and shoot in a new location, I can not say the same thing about the drive home on Sunday night! We left Calgary at about 10:00 pm and didn’t arrive in Fernie until 4:00 in the morning. I have never been in a situation where literally the only thing I could see out the front window was my windshield wipers. I had to rely on Duane and Leah looking out the side windows to tell me where the ditch was! It seems like the worst roads always happen in March though. Warm in the day, cold and icy at night!
This one was a complete miss! I could lie and try to tell you that I meant to only get a bit of Richard’s beard in focus, but it would be just that… a lie. The thing is though, I quite like how it turned out.
