Leah and I had a chance to get out of Fernie for a few days this past weekend for her brother’s wedding down in Whistler. It was both strange and nice to be at a wedding where I wasn’t the one doing the photography – being able to relax and soak things in is definitely not something that I am accustomed to associating with weddings! They had a very small, intimate wedding (the best kind in my opinion!) and it was a lot of fun to visit with the family even if it was for too-short a period of time. Anyway, we travelled down with Megan and Aaron and while we didn’t get a chance to ski Whistler we did make sure to stop in at Revelstoke on Friday. I brought the camera out on the hill for the first time this winter (hey – snow has been far too precious a commodity to stop for pictures! Here are some of my favourites:
This next shot was taken at 17 mm (the same focal length that made the trees bend in the first shot of this post). You can probably guess how wet my camera and I got about 1/10 of a second after grabbing this frame! Not quite as sharp as I would have liked, but all things considered I am a pretty big fan. Good thing for weather sealing!
Megan even offered to grab a shot of me – thanks Megan!
