Had the opportunity to get some photos of the Torch relay as it came through Fernie last weekend! I was really impressed that we had over a thousand people turn out for the relay considering that it came through bright and early in the morning. The scene as the final torch bearer ran the flame up to the steps of City Hall. I’m not necessarily a huge Olympics guy, but it was a pretty neat moment.
{15:51} photographyIsn't it just so awesome?!?! We got to see it four times throughout the day when it made its way to Ottawa and every time...it never failed to give me Olympic fever!!
Kathryn and Eric. An awesome couple with a great connection and even better sense of humor. Looking forward to their wedding in July! Eric was talking over on our facebook fan page about how his cruel photographers made them sit in the snow, and how he didn’t manage to get warm for hours afterwards. This, of course, is all true. However, I would like to offer this next shot as proof that we never make our clients suffer alone! Duane’s shot; my favourite! In keeping with the theme from above, I would like to point out that they did this to themselves! =)
I suppose that I could start this post by saying all sorts of nice things about Sharla and Aaron and they would all be true. Except, that is not really much fun. So instead, I will leave you to infer from the pictures below what terrible, unfriendly people they are.
brian & candy gloverCongratulations! You look great together! We are so happy for you and wish you God's blessings on your upcoming wedding, and, more importantly, on your marriage.
love, B & C G.
P.S. Another great job, boys! You captured "how terrible and unfriendly" they are!! You caught them "kissing"!!!! My favourite is #009. C.
Don’t look now, but 6:8′s most famous couple is back, gracing this space once again. Most of you know Zoe as the bride that wading through the underground sludge to get a pretty stellar bridal portrait done on her wedding day back in 2008. Today she returns on the cusp of a pretty major accomplishment – graduation! She decided that, instead of getting formal portraits done in front of some dusty books, that she would let us take them when she came home to visit for Christmas. We got lucky, because it was snowing like crazy on the day that we met up with them, which is exactly what we were all hoping for! Zoe is a talented photographer in her own right, so directing her was super easy – it was like she knew what we were thinking! She brought Quinn and their puppy along for the session and we had a great time wading through the deep snow here in Fernie! As a side note, for those of you on facebook, we actually did a sneak release of these images on our fan page. It’s a great way to stay connected with what we are doing! I told you that the snow was deep! Quinn kept letting Zoe break trail for him – very manly eh? Especially seeing as Zoe was wearing a skirt. I think this mound of snow doubles asĀ picnic table in the summer…
b & cCongratulations Zoe on graduation! Pictures are amazing! You looked as good in these as you used to look as a little girl playing in the snow. Quinn you're awesome too!
