It’s always great when we have the opportunity to hang out with the same crowd again! Alyson & Gary are good friends with Shannon & Kevin, whose wedding we shot in Mexico last April. Although the location was different and there were some new faces, the atmosphere was just as fun! It was clear right from when we started talking to Alyson & Gary that family and friends are very important them, and they structured their day so that it gave them the most time to spend with those they invited to share in their wedding. Alyson & Gary decided to do their pictures first, followed by a casual ceremony, leading right into dinner and dancing at the Southside Event Centre.

The girls looked stunning! You may recognize a few of these faces from Shannon & Kevin’s wedding. I think the comment at the reception was that they are a package deal!

The Corona Street Tavern in Medicine Hat. Neat building to shoot at, but not necessarily the most glamourous of neighbourhoods!

Sometimes it works with timelines to sneak away for a few minutes to get a couple shots at sunset. The colour in the sky is a nice contrast to shots taken during the day, and gives a really different look to these portraits. If you can schedule 10-15 minutes during your reception for these shots, I promise you won’t be disappointed!
